So hard to say goodbye.

How goes it my faithful few blog readers? It has been a very busy couple of weeks myself hence the lack of updates. Don't worry I haven't fallen off the face of earth or anything like that (even though I bet Buddy would just love that..he's evil I tell yah!).

We just had our last QA with our mentor last night. 'Twas a special 2 hour session where we went over the lecture and brushed up on some important topics. Then she went and gave us an overall summary of how we were doing individually and what things we needed to focus on and such. Man, that made me very, very nervous. To have your animatin' core stripped naked for all to see, it was a very harrowing experience for sure. Ok, maybe I'm blowing it a bit out of proportion (fine, I'm blowing it way out of proportion) but it still made me nervous to be critiqued in front of your peers. Actually it wasn't all that bad, especially if you have an awesomely supportive group such as I.

They are an awesome group of people to be in class with. I couldn't ask for a better group of classmates to venture into this AnimationMentor thing with. Each had their own distinctive personality they brought to the group but one thing kept us together ,besides our world famous random humor and being a pain to our mentor =p, and that was the drive and inspiration to learn this art and to learn it well.

Who can forget Bret Parker, our mentor? The last month of this term and she was the featured mentor at the school! How awesome is that? Awesomely awesome I tell you. She's very supportive and has a great sense of humor. Her feedback is spot on and will help you see the trouble spots with your assignment. We all know those spots, the spots where you know something is wrong but you're unsure why it's wrong. If any of you get Bret Parker as a mentor, definitely count yourselves lucky!

Without further ado here is a picture that fellow Bret Parkerian, Sean Dicken, created. It shows our classmates and our mentor (as well as the evil Buddy who is fortunately covered by the title, you're days are numbered Buddy...).

After this first term I can honestly say that I have complete faith in this school. The people there are committed to giving their all to the school and our education. I, for one, will do no less in the coming terms.

We still got a week or so to go before our break. See you soon on this same blog channel. =)
