Better late than never.

Finally got that assignment I turned in last week uploaded to my hosting space. Sorry for the delay! The assignment is taking Ballie and having him do a 180-degree turn. I'm pretty happy with where it is now, but I can still notice a few things that need to be tweaked especially with what suggestions my mentor gave me. I'll probably revisit this assignment down the line and see if I can't polish it up a bit more.

I broke the law....the animation law!

Yup, you read that headline right. My last assignment I turned in, I broke not one but two of 'em (they aren't really laws, more like guidelines). That would be arcs and spacing for those that are curious. Much to my relief, no animation inquisition came knocking on my door demanding that I stop all animation practices. I'm still allowed to animate....for now... ;)

My assignment turned out to be way too even and way too horizontal. To be fair, I did have dips in appropriate places, but I just need to increase their values and adjust the tangents as necessary because they were barely there or not noticeable at all. After listening to my mentor and fellow classmates I undertook the tasks at hand and will put up a polished version later this week. Feedback is a great and wonderful tool people!!!

On a more damaging note (literally), it seems I injured my elbow during our first snowboarding escapade. It doesn't look like a bruise or feel like a bruise and it's a tad bit swollen. I was supposed to go see the doctor yesterday but had to reschedule it for today. Hopefully it's not too serious because I was looking foward to going again in the 18th. You know those videos you see of people tumbling with their snowboards spinning every which way. They are not exaggerated, I fell at least twice like that with my board spinning like a helicopter that crash landed. All in good fun though! :)
