Walking with Dinosaurs - Live!

I stumbled across this video on youtube and it shows a workshop where they brought the dinosaurs to life for a live version of Walking with Dinosaurs. I've never heard of the show till now, it looks like it started out in Australia and it's on tour in the US now. Hopefully it'll make it's way to the Southern California area somewhere, it looks awesome!

Goofy shows us how

Looks like Disney is going to be releasing a new "How To" Goofy short (thanks to Heath for linking the article)! Click the picture below to read an interview about the upcoming short with Andreas Deja and Mark Henn at Animated Views.



It sounds like a great idea for a Goofy short and it looks like they're very dedicated to keeping the original look and feel of the old shorts. Definitely looking foward to seeing this one!

Some Updates

So news over the last week was delivered by a double-edged sword. On the bad edge, to get it out of the way, I got sick and was stuck at home last week. Yaaay? Not really...though I did get a few drawing books I've been waiting for. You know that obstacle that has been my drawing ability? I'm taking that wall down brick-by-friggin'-brick!

The good bit of news I did get took me by surprise. I was accepted into the animation apprenticeship program at Rhythm & Hues Studios! I've always wanted to know how animation is handled on their projects, so I'm really, really excited about this opportunity. This is gonna be so cool, can't wait! :D

Just found out that there are other AMers that got accepted into the apprenticeship program too! Congrats to them, that just rocks!! It's gonna be so awesome going through the apprenticeship with them! :D

I've been eager to get started on some new shots, so I'm going to put away my short film for a bit and get started on one or two new animation tests. After that, I'll probably take a fresh and final pass on my short. Hopefully I'll have a pass of some stuff up soon.
